Attention - Post a comment on THIS Blog by Monday 11/10
As I first began to watch the video, I tried to make sure that I counted the passes within the white team. In between all the comotion though, I suprisingly did see and notice the bear in the middle. I could not tell exactly what it was doing but my attention quickly shifted from the players to the bear. This video does a good job in helping us understand how the brain and eyes work in conjunction to depending on what we focus on. I think that this experiment deals with saccadic eye motion mainly because the central part of the retina, the fovea, plays a critical role in resolving objects in a scene.
I began to watch the video and the first question was "how many passes does the white team make?" So I kept my eyes and mind focus on the white team and keep records on how many passes they did pass. I was so focused that I did not get distracted, actually I counted the passes. I was so concentrated that the second question was " Did you notice the bear doing the moonwalk?"... i was like the bear doing the moonwalk?!?!?...As they show the video again I just wanted to focus on seeing the bear do the moonwalk. I was surprise on how I missed it. :)
Yasmeen Z. I got all the passes right. I had counted that there were 13 passes and it was correct. I tried staying focused because i wanted to make sure I counted all the passes and didn’t miss any. But during all the passes I did not see the moon walking bear. I was so concentrated on the white team that I didn’t see the black bear. I guess my brain thought the bear was part of the black team, Its crazy how i missed it, it was so big.!!
Well I know this is late but I barely got my internet back on and I finally got acess to this video. Well I think its pretty amazing and true what this video shows. I was keeping track of the passes and I got the right answer. When i counted to ten though I did notice the bear but i decided not to pay so much attention to it since I wanted to get the right answer. This is a really good video. Me likey!!! It messes with our minds.
Yesenia M Sorry i know is to late but i barely got access to an internet that did not block You Tube. When i was watching the Video the first time i didnt notice the bear i was so concentrated on countintg the passes of the white team, which there were 13 passes made by the white team. The second time i saw the video i was more focus on watching the black bear doing the "moonwalk". This is really cool because how aare you expect to see things you are not aware of. This was a good video.
I was looking through the blog and i noticed the video.I was amazed of how i missed the moonwalking bear. i just laughed. I was too busy counting the white teams passes that i missed it.

The time I saw it I was keeping count and did not notice the bear. I was amazed how I missed the bear in between all the passes.
